A 21-year-old father known as Bright has been apprehended by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command in connection with the death of his three-week-old baby. Allegedly, Bright committed the act in pursuit of suspected money rituals in Fetteh Kakraba, situated in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday night when Bright visited the baby and the mother. According to reports, while the baby was asleep and the mother was away making a purchase, Bright, with ulterior motives, asked his unsuspecting friend to bring the baby from the room.

Bright’s friend recounted the situation, explaining that he encountered Bright at the school park with the baby. A short time later, the mother called to report the baby missing.
Upon receiving the news of the baby’s disappearance, a search party was immediately launched. The friend was apprehended after receiving a tip-off that he had taken the baby from the room. The search party was led to the school park, where it was discovered that Bright had already killed the baby by the time they arrived.
Both Bright and his friend have been arrested and are currently assisting with the ongoing investigations.
