A total of 22 individuals are reported to have suffered from poisoning after consuming food served at a funeral in Agou, located in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.
Thirteen individuals have been admitted to the Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital, while nine others are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

The affected individuals had consumed a variety of dishes, including porridge, rice, Banku, and meat, during the funeral event.
To investigate the incident thoroughly, samples of the food have been collected and sent to the laboratory for examination. Additionally, a team specializing in disease control management has been dispatched to the community to conduct a proper investigation.
