The authorities have stated that Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, along with three others, will face trial in the High Court for allegedly sharing a video of Prophet Emmanuel Appiah’s genitals without his consent. The prosecution, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Haligah, has withdrawn the case from the Circuit Court, recognizing the jurisdiction of the High Court concerning cyber security offenses. The Police will now send the case file to the Office of the Attorney General for further prosecution.
The Circuit Court, presided over by Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah, discharged the accused individuals following this development. Agradaa was charged with the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, while the other three individuals were charged with abetting the crime. The Circuit Court granted bail to Enock Owusu Kissi, Charles Omane, and Kofi Gyasi, each with a sum of GHS100,000 and three sureties. One of the accomplices, named Andy, is currently evading arrest.
