Don Brymo Uchegbu, a veteran Nigerian actor, movie producer, and scriptwriter, has sadly passed away. According to reports, the 56-year-old actor died peacefully in his sleep on June 14, 2023.
The news was confirmed by Mr. Mayor Ofoegbu, a colleague and friend, who posted on his Facebook page the following morning. Ofoegbu shared a photograph of the deceased along with the words, “Plan for tomorrow, but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.”
In his Facebook post, Ofoegbu expressed his shock and sorrow over Don Brymo’s sudden passing.
“I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed away in his sleep. I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify from his family. Chai, Don Brymo, my manchi. It’s hard to say goodbye. Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu.”

Throughout his career, Don Brymo Uchegbu appeared in over 80 movies, including notable titles such as “My Beloved Daughter,” “Snake Battle,” “Land of Fire,” “No Mercy,” and “My God Never Sleeps.” He initially discovered his passion for acting during his high school days, participating in plays and dramas.
Don Brymo entered the Nigerian film industry in 2000 and quickly gained fame. He became one of the most popular actors in Nigeria, collaborating with renowned figures such as Ken Erics, Yul Edochie, Ngozi Ezeonu, Ebele Okaro, Regina Daniels, and Mike Ezeruonye.
Born in Enugu-Ukwu, a village in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria, Don Brymo is survived by his wife and children. His passing has been widely reported on various Nollywood websites, and tributes from fellow actors continue to pour in, honoring his contributions to the industry.
