A 21-year-old man was apprehended at Kasoa new market for impersonating a woman to steal merchandise from female market vendors.
The head of the market security team, Alahji Haruna Tetteh Mensah, revealed that the suspect, disguised as a female trader, took advantage of the apparently deserted state of the market to engage in theft.
He was clad in trousers and a blouse, adorned with a headscarf, and had a cloth wrapped around his waist. However, his suspicious behavior and appearance aroused concerns among traders, leading to an alarm being raised.
