Ghana Armed Forces outdoors locally made mini Jeep for transportation

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has unveiled a domestically manufactured mini Jeep designed to facilitate convenient transportation within the barracks.

Warrant Officer Class One, Awal Mohammed, a driver within GAF, is acknowledged for crafting the jeep.

This cost-effective Jeep, with low fuel consumption and priced at GH¢60,000.00, was introduced during the West African Security Social Activity (WASSA).

It represents a modification of the locally utilized tricycle, also colloquially known as “Aboboyaa.”

Military authorities have announced plans to allocate one of these Jeeps, bearing the codename GAMIJ (Ghana Army Mini Jeep), to each unit under military command for their operational needs.

During the unveiling, the manufacturer, Awal Mohammed, test-drove the Jeep with notable figures such as Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Nii Dzasetse of La, and Major General (Retired) Samuel Odotei, the guest speaker, on board.
