Candidates vying for the presidential nomination within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will participate in a draw to determine their positions on the ballot for the upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for November 4, 2023.
One of the leading contenders, Alan Kyeremanten, has decided to withdraw from the competition, citing concerns about irregularities in the electoral process. The party has pledged to investigate these allegations.

To address the concerns and maintain fairness, the NPP’s Election Committee is currently holding an important meeting to reassure the aspirants before the drawing of lots.
Among those present at the NPP headquarters are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, and Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Additionally, officials from the Electoral Commission (EC), led by Dr. Serebour Quaicoo, the Director of Electoral Services, have also arrived at the venue to supervise the proceedings.
