Ernest Yaw Anim, the candidate from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emerged victorious in the Kumawu by-elections. He secured a total of 15,264 votes, surpassing his competitors from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwesi Amankwah, and two Independent Candidates.
Kwesi Amankwah received 3,723 votes, while one of the Independent Candidates named Kwaku Duah (1) garnered 2,478 votes. The other Kwaku Duah obtained 62 votes.
