A 24-year-old National Service Person in Sehwi Asawinso Methodist Primary B has been placed in police custody for three weeks by the Bibiani Circuit Court. The individual, identified as Bismark Ansu, is accused of sexually assaulting three pupils, aged eight to nine, in the Sehwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region.
According to reports, Ansu, who is a Class 2 teacher of the victims, secretly organized additional classes at his home in January. Exploiting these extra classes, Ansu allegedly coerced the three pupils into engaging in sexual intercourse with him. He threatened them with harm or death if they disclosed the incidents to anyone.

The medical findings supported the claims of defilement.
Consequently, the accused, Bismark Ansu, was arrested and charged with three offenses: threatening to cause death (contrary to Section 75 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 [ACT 29]), defilement (contrary to Section 101 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 [ACT 29]), and threatening to cause harm (contrary to Section 74 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 [ACT 29]). Ansu appeared before the Bibiani Circuit Court, where he was remanded. The court will reconvene on Monday, May 29, after considering the details of the case.
