This incident occurred during the broadcast of the United Showbiz program on Saturday, October 7. As the show began, an unexpected disturbance disrupted the proceedings, leaving viewers both surprised and concerned. The show abruptly went off the air, and commercials appeared on the screen in its place.
Subsequent online videos shed light on the unsettling interruption.
A group claiming affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) reportedly stormed the UTV studios during the live broadcast. Their primary demand was an apology from one of the panelists, A-Plus, along with accompanying threats. They contended that the musician-turned-politician had shown disrespect towards their party, President Akufo-Addo, and Vice President Dr. Bawumia. However, it remains unclear which specific comments made by A-Plus in the past triggered the invasion of the TV studio.

In the meantime, NPP Communications Director, Richard Ahiagbah, appeared on the show later to apologize to UTV and the viewers. He stated that the party did not endorse the attack on the station to disrupt the program and urged the Police to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
