San Francisco police have detained a tech executive in connection with the stabbing murder of Cash App inventor Bob Lee.
The father of two, 43, was stabbed shortly after 2:30 a.m. April 4 in the affluent Rincon Hill neighborhood, and Lee apparently knew his k!ller, according to Mission Local.

Police have yet to confirm the suspect’s identity, although Mission Local reports that he is a fellow Bay Area tech executive.

It’s unclear if the man attended the same tech conference Lee was in town for, but they were seen in a car together around 2.30 a.m., just before the stabbing.

According to police sources, they had some sort of altercation that resulted in the attack. Lee got out of the car and was later shown on surveillance video straining to walk nearby.

Lee is seen stumbling through the city streets after being stabbed, as captured on security video.

Lee dialed 911 himself, explaining that he’d been st@bbed and needed assistance. He was unresponsive when cops arrived and died later that morning at the hospital from his slashing injuries.
