Afua Asantewaa has achieved success in her Guinness World Record endeavor to surpass the existing record for the longest individual singing marathon, which was previously held by an Indian in 2012.
In a remarkable accomplishment, Asantewaa commenced her singing marathon at midnight on Sunday, December 24, concluding at 7:00 am on December 29, lasting an impressive five days, six hours, and 55 minutes.

Following this noteworthy achievement, Afua Asantewaa conveyed her gratitude to those who supported her at the Akwaaba Village and from their homes. Reflecting on the challenging experience, she shared, “At one point, I kept wondering which day it was, and I finally realized it was Friday. On behalf of my family, team, volunteers, the media, and the Ghana Tourism Authority, I want to express my thanks to everyone who participated in this attempt; it has been a smooth and highly successful journey.”
Afua Asantewaa expressed her hope that her efforts would positively impact Ghana’s music industry and inspire the youth to embrace more challenges. She emphasized, “There are a lot of things you can try.”

She extended her gratitude to the Vice President and all individuals who contributed to her accomplishment, inviting everyone to join the evening celebration.
