Professor Ransford Gyampo, a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, has offered guidance to voters in the Kumawu constituency, urging them to reject “politics of sentimental attachment.” Instead, he advised them to make their choices in the upcoming by-election based on reason, common sense, and rational decision-making.
In a Facebook post prior to the by-election scheduled for Tuesday, May 23, Prof. Gyampo emphasized the need to move away from sentimental attachment to partisan ideologies and embrace politics grounded in reason, common sense, and rational choice. He urged voters to be discerning and not blindly support a particular political party solely because it holds a dominant position in the area.

Politics of Sentimental Attachment to Partisan Nonsense must give way to Politics of Reason, Common Sense and Rational Choice. We have come of age, and voters must refuse to be fooled” he posted
Emphasizing the maturity of the electorate, Prof. Gyampo stressed that voters should resist being deceived and should, instead, evaluate the candidates critically based on their ability to effectively serve the interests of the constituency.
