According to the prosecution document presented in court today, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi confessed to killing Victoria Dapaah, also known as Maadwoa, because she owed him GH¢5,000. He used a service pistol to commit the crime. As a result of this, Inspector Twumasi has been charged with murder and was escorted out of the Asokore Mampong District Court under police reinforcement.

During the court session, the judge asked Inspector Twumasi if he had anything to say despite not being allowed to plead guilty or not, to which he replied: “I have no intention to commit the crime; what happened is between me and God.”

Inspector Twumasi has been remanded into police custody and is set to reappear in court on Tuesday, May 30. Today was a very emotional day in court for all involved.”
