The Accra Circuit Court has detained five of the individuals implicated in the Cecilia Dapaah case and has provided bail to two nursing mothers at a sum of GH¢1 million each, along with a requirement for three sureties to provide justifications.
Two domestic helpers who previously worked for the ex-Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources and her spouse, Daniel Osei Kuffour, are currently facing charges in an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly embezzling a substantial amount of money and valuable items worth millions of Ghana Cedis.

The alleged thefts took place at the couple’s residence in Abelemkpe, a suburban area of Accra in the Greater Accra Region.
An 18-year-old named Patience Botwe and a 30-year-old named Sarah Agyei are accused of pilfering the funds and personal belongings of the couple between July and October 2022.

The primary accused, Patience (referred to as A1), has also involved her present and former boyfriends, as well as her father, in the same legal proceedings.
Subsequently, due to public outcry and calls for her departure from the government on grounds of purportedly unlawfully obtaining and stashing the funds, Madam Dapaah ultimately resigned from her role.
