Moses Olapade, a 56-year-old ex-boxer, was apprehended in Ondo State for allegedly punching his wife, Tinuke, until she passed out after she declined to give him the television remote control. The event occurred at their residence in Oke-Aro Community in Akure. Olopade is a truck driver who travels to Northern Nigeria.

Upon returning home, he wanted to watch a program on the television and requested his 44-year-old wife to give him the remote. When she refused, he became enraged and hit her, causing her to collapse. The community leaders were notified, and they reported the matter to the authorities, resulting in Olopade’s arrest. Their children screamed for help, and neighbors rushed to their aid, finding Tinuke lying on the floor unconscious. They quickly took her to the nearest hospital.
