The 31-year-old gold dealer, Kwadwo Kyei Amaning, who allegedly went missing and was later found hiding at his girlfriend’s house, has been fined by the Bibiani Circuit Court in the Western North region.
On May 11, 2024, Adom News reported that Kwadwo Kyei Amaning had allegedly gone missing.
His family, distraught and in tears, reported the matter to the Awaso Police, as Amaning is physically challenged.

After a few days, he was found in Bibiani and handed over to the Awaso Police. Amaning was then brought before the Bibiani Circuit Court, where His Honour Joshua Caleb Abaidoo charged him with causing fear and panic. Amaning pleaded guilty and requested leniency. However, the court fined him 50 penalty units, amounting to GH¢600, or three months imprisonment.
Amaning paid the fine and was required to sign a bond to maintain good behavior for two years, with the condition that any breach would result in six months imprisonment.
He apologized deeply to his family and Ghanaians for his actions. His father, Opanin Kwame Amaning, urged everyone to forgive his son, noting his genuine remorse
