The National Democratic Congress (NDC) recently held its parliamentary and presidential elections to select leaders for the upcoming 2024 general elections. The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the results of the presidential elections, with John Dramani Mahama declared as the winner by the Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe.

According to the results, Mahama secured 98.9% of the votes, while his opponent, Kojo Bonsu, had only 3,181 votes. The victory of Mahama is considered a positive sign for the NDC in their efforts to defeat the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections. The NDC leadership has called for unity within the party to work towards victory in the next election.
