A horrific accident occurred on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region, resulting in two passengers sustaining serious injuries, while 55 others managed to escape unharmed. According to the police, the accident involved three vehicles that were traveling from Ho to Ivory Coast.

The vehicles involved in the accident were a Youton Bus with the registration number AS-850-21, an articulated car with a foreign registration number 349 HF 01, and a Honda CR-V with the registration GW-970-20.

James Nii Ayi, the driver of the Honda CR-V, recounted to Adom News that the accident was caused by the articulated car attempting an incorrect overtaking maneuver. As a result, the Youton bus, which was traveling directly behind him, collided with the rear of his car while he was slowing down to avoid a collision.
