There is something immediately intriguing about “Fading Echoes,” the new single from Music of Synergia, especially in the way it balances dark electronic textures with a surprisingly cinematic sense of space. Rather than throwing every sound at the listener at once, the track takes its time, allowing each layer to settle into the atmosphere.
Music of Synergia is the dark electronic side-project of Valerian Steel, the mastermind behind Manufracture Music. With “Fading Echoes,” Steel explores what he calls an A.C.I. (Analog Core Industrial) approach, bringing authentic analog hardware synthesizers into an electronic setting that feels both retro and futuristic. That combination becomes one of the track’s biggest strengths.

The production carries a warm, analogue character that prevents the darker electronic elements from becoming overly cold or clinical. Synth textures move through the arrangement with a deliberate sense of tension, while the cinematic atmosphere gives the track a distinctly immersive quality. There is a clear nod toward the spacious, dramatic electronic sound associated with 1990s acts such as Delerium, but “Fading Echoes” isn’t simply trying to recreate that era. It uses that atmosphere as a starting point and pushes it into its own darker territory.

The vocal contribution from Lyz adds another dimension to the production. Her presence gives the track a human focal point against the electronic backdrop, creating a contrast between organic vocal expression and carefully programmed instrumentation. That contrast is important because “Fading Echoes” could easily have become too production-heavy; instead, the vocal helps give the listener something to hold onto. The arrangement feels like it is constantly revealing another layer, whether through a shifting synth texture, an atmospheric transition or the interaction between the vocals and electronic instrumentation.

And then there is the visual concept. Music of Synergia intentionally places the polished, analogue-driven music against what has been described as “AI slop” visuals. That contrast is actually an interesting part of the project’s identity. Instead of pretending the digital aesthetic isn’t there, the project leans into the tension between authentic hardware-based sound and intentionally artificial imagery.

Set for release on September 8, 2026, “Fading Echoes” is a strong introduction to the Music of Synergia project. It is dark without becoming oppressive, atmospheric without losing direction, and electronic while retaining enough warmth to feel human.

“Fading Echoes” succeeds because it doesn’t rush. Its analogue synth work, cinematic electronic atmosphere and Lyz’s vocals give the track a distinctive identity, while the darker production keeps things intriguing from beginning to end. Music of Synergia is clearly building a world here, and this single offers an inviting first look inside it.
