A committed cyclist has undertaken a challenging three-day expedition from Accra to Tamale to express solidarity with Chef Faila during her remarkable cook-a-thon.
One notable highlight from the recently concluded attempt was Zakaria Mbahiyam’s journey, which commenced in the heart of Ashaiman, traversing various regions before reaching the event venue. His route took him through Dambai, Wulensi, Bimbilla, Yendi, and Sandu before arriving in Tamale.

During the journey, Mbahiyam adorned himself with a branded t-shirt featuring Chef Faila’s name, along with a Ghanaian flag, a helmet, and an emergency backpack. Nevertheless, the expedition posed challenges, with multiple obstacles encountered, including brake malfunctions and recurrent flat tires on his bicycle.
Mbahiyam arrived last night and received a warm welcome at the Clinton Guest House, where he spent the night. The chef’s team and supporters enthusiastically greeted him, and Chef Faila herself acknowledged his arrival.
