Mexico City’s own Los Quiénes Son are back with “Días Perdidos,” released January 23, 2026, and it hits like a memory you didn’t realize still had power over you. Built on sharp, reverb-soaked guitars and dramatic quiet-to-loud shifts, the track feels cinematic without losing its raw edge.

From the first verse, the band paints a portrait of innocence: “Days when time was enough to enjoy life / and lie on the ground without worrying about anything.” There’s freedom there “Nothing stopped me, everything was just a game / where there were no rules or winners.” But that light doesn’t last. The song pivots when “one day that inner child was lost / a storm arrived and disappeared with it.”

That line lands hard. You can feel the tension tightening as the drums grow heavier and the guitars snarl. Anxiety takes over: “My mind thought too much / my body tensed up, there was no peace.” It’s deeply relatable without feeling dramatic for the sake of it. The band captures the shift from carefree youth to internal unrest with intensity that feels lived-in.

Formed in 2022, Los Quiénes Son have been carving out their lane in Mexico City’s rock scene since their debut album Meteoro (2023). With “Días Perdidos,” they push further into expansive, guitar-driven territory while holding onto that emotional core. It’s loud, reflective, and unafraid to confront the moment “the afternoon faded and the beast awakened.”
