The Electoral Commission (EC) has responded to a viral video allegedly showing an individual stuffing a ballot box. The video, purportedly depicting the incident during the Ejisu by-election, has prompted a statement from the EC on May 2.

According to the EC, the person shown in the viral video is not an EC staff member, and the incident does not pertain to the Ejisu by-election. The Commission has discredited the authenticity of the video, noting that the individual in question is wearing a green vest, whereas EC personnel wear blue vests during operations.
Furthermore, another individual in the video is seen wearing an orange vest, which does not align with EC protocols. The setting of the video, depicting a polling station in a confined area, also contrasts with the typical open-space polling stations organized by the Commission.
