Every once in a while, a song comes along that doesn’t just feel like new music, it feels like history being reignited. Geordie Brown’s debut rock single, “Won’t You Come With Me” (released August 15, 2025), is exactly that. It’s not just a track, it’s a bridge between generations of Nova Scotian rock, a revival of a lost gem by 1970s band Titan, and a personal homage to Brown’s roots.

This isn’t just some casual cover. Brown has literally brought Titan’s original members, including his father, Steve “Jug” Brown back into the studio, nearly 50 years later, alongside East Coast heavy-hitters like Sean Kilbride (Haywire), Julien Kitson (Gizmo), and Andrew Murray (Baby God, English Words). The result is a track that blends the raw punch of vintage Canadian rock with modern production polish. Recorded straight to analog tape at Joel Plaskett’s Fang Recording studio in Dartmouth, “Won’t You Come With Me” carries the warmth and grit of classic rock records but with an unmistakably fresh lift.\

Lyrically, it’s pure rock invitation: “Tomorrow night, there’s a place I know, I’ll take you babe to the rock and roll show…” It’s simple, direct, and designed to hit you with the same energy Titan once delivered on Halifax airwaves back in the late ’70s. But Brown’s soaring vocals and modern lineup breathe new life into the song, making it feel tailor-made for summer 2025 playlists.
