Black Sherif, who was heavily tipped to win the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, has described his victory as a dream come true. He attributes his success to his perseverance and diligence since entering the Ghanaian music industry and believes that he will continue to be successful if he maintains the same level of vigor.

“I worked hard to get to where I am now. It is a dream come through to actually see your hard work pay off. I put in hard work to make sure I achieve whatever I want and today here I am winning the ultimate award on the night”.
Despite being the youngest nominee among heavyweight contenders, Black Sherif emerged victorious over the likes of Piesie Esther, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, KiDi and Joe Mettle to win the grand prize. According to the Kwaku The Traveller hitmaker, winning Artiste of the Year is a result of hard work and determination, and he will continue to work hard to bring something new to his fans and keep Ghanaians asking for more.

He expressed his appreciation to everyone who voted for him and promised to continue making them proud.
