If current Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is elected the party’s flagbearer, pollster and Dispatch newspaper managing editor Ben Ephson believes the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) has a good chance of winning the 2024 general elections.
With Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s backing from both the Christian and Muslim populations, he is confident that if Dr Bawumia were to lead the NPP, he would easily break the eight.

Meanwhile, owing to the backing of around 80 NPP Members of Parliament, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is slowly making headway in the forthcoming NPP flagbearership campaign (MPs).
In an interview with Onua TV, Ben Ephson stated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is by far the greatest candidate for the NPP and that the party will easily gain a significant victory as a consequence.

He has provided evidence to support his allegations that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, although being a Muslim, has effectively communicated with Christians through his office, which may be enough to perform marvels.
“If Bawumia is elected as the NPP’s flagbearer, he brings two major benefits: many Christians feel comfortable with him despite the fact that he is a Muslim, and Muslims who used to vote for the NDC would switch and vote for the NPP.”
“The Muslims have finally realized that the NDC has taken them for granted for far too long since they don’t even consider Muslims as running mates,” he claimed.
