Eleven very ill persons associated with the divisive Good News International Church are being treated at a hospital after being rescued from a countryside hideout.
Some had apparently gone without food for as long as 21 days.
Mr Nthenge claimed to have closed his church in 2019, but he is also a televangelist with a YouTube channel that looks to have reach followers faraway
He pleaded not guilty to that charge and was released on bail.
