Barima Yaw D. Oppong, the Director of Legal Education at the Ghana School of Law, in partnership with the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat and other generous institutions, has secured scholarships for approximately 100 Law students.

Recognizing the Ghana School of Law’s outstanding performance, the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), an advisory body under the Ministry of Finance, awarded it as the Best Internal Audit Unit in 2021 among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Established in 1958 by Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the Ghana School of Law was the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa and continues to be the leading law school in the region, serving students from other Commonwealth countries as well.

The students who benefited from the scholarships expressed gratitude to their benefactors, emphasizing that the support came at a time when many students were facing challenges in paying their fees and registering for the 2022/23 academic year examination. They also praised the director and the school’s management for their consistent support towards their well-being and academic progress.
