A tragic car accident near Nobewam, off the Kumasi-Accra highway, claimed the life of Fuseini, a security officer who had been serving as the bodyguard for Second Lady Samira Bawumia.

The incident occurred on Saturday, January 13, 2024, when a commercial vehicle collided with Mrs. Bawumia’s convoy at Ohene-Nkwanta.

Fortunately, the Second Lady had already reached her destination when the unfortunate incident took place. Reports from the scene suggest that the vehicles involved collided, resulting in the fatality.

Fuseini, who was a twin and a dedicated member of the 1996 year group of Accra Academy, had been a loyal member of the Vice President’s domestic staff since 2008, serving in the capacity of a security officer. Prior to joining the Vice President’s family, Fuseini and his twin brother had also worked with Honorable Yaw Osafo-Maafo.

Details about the funeral arrangements for Fuseini are expected to be communicated in the coming days.
