In a bizarre and unexpected turn of events, an utilized casket was uncovered within one of Harare’s oldest high schools, causing confusion and astonishment among all involved.
This perplexing discovery was stumbled upon by educational authorities from the district at Girls High School. They had no choice but to forcefully enter the location after being denied access by the school administration.

Presently, a thorough investigation is underway to reveal the source of the coffin and the individuals behind its placement in the school. Interestingly, there is no available information regarding the fate of the body that was initially inside the coffin, leaving its disposition unresolved.
Numerous intriguing questions arise from this unusual situation: What became of the body that once occupied the coffin? Who secured the room and when was this action taken? What motivated former staff members to clandestinely enter the premises during the night?
Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson, Taungana Ndoro, confirmed the incident and emphasized that active investigations are being carried out in response to inquiries.

A source who spoke with H-Metro shared that the room had been locked for an extended period even before the current headmistress assumed her position. The discovery of the coffin revealed that a former staff member of the school had accessed the room. When H-Metro visited the school, the headmistress clarified that she was not present at the time of the coffin’s discovery.
