Back in 2019, Operaincluded a free VPN (virtual private network) in its Android mobile browser. Years later, the business is now bringing the free VPN capability to the Opera browser for iOS. This would enable iPhone and iPad users to browse the web privately without the need for any additional plugins. Other improvements to Opera for iOS include a Bookmarks feature with Speed Dial and a new Live Score.
In a blog post on Wednesday, Opera announced the inclusion of a free VPN to the Opera browser for iOS. This service first appeared in its mobile browser for Android in 2019. By generating a private network from a public Internet connection, the latest version allows iPhone and iPad users to access the Web while maintaining online security and anonymity.

iOS users can enable the VPN by selecting it from the hamburger menu on the homepage. This is said to encrypt VPN communication and hide the IP address. The new native VPN service is free to use and does not have any log management requirements. Furthermore, no further extensions are necessary to use the service.
Opera states that it protects the user’s anonymity and assures that the browser does not gather any personal data or information about the user’s browsing history or originating network address.

The new function is presently available for early access to some customers, and the business plans to complete the entire deployment in the following weeks.
Aside from the free VPN service, the Opera browser for iOS is gaining a slew of new capabilities. In addition, a Bookmarks function for organizing online activity is being rolled out. It includes a Speed Dial feature that allows users to quickly visit pages or websites. There is also a new Live Score feature that displays scoreboards for the day’s matches on the browser’s homepage.
Opera for iOS also includes a Fast Action Button, which helps to organize all navigation tools within the reach of a thumb. My Flow allows users to share files between phones, tablets, and PCs, and the browser’s Crypto Wallet keeps track of their digital assets at all times.
