Richard Green’s “Fake Moments” feels like a quiet exhale, one of those instrumentals that sneaks up on you with its weight, its mood, and its almost cinematic string work. Even though it was composed during a rough patch in 2023, the track doesn’t wallow. Instead, it floats somewhere between nostalgia and clarity, pairing gentle melancholy with a surprising sense of comfort.

Richard, who splits his life between Milan and London, has always been a genre shapeshifter. After a decade of studying music in London and experimenting across styles, from experimental to neoclassical to techno, he’s built a reputation for bending his sound instead of boxing it in. “Fake Moments” sits firmly inside that lane. Originally featured on his EP Illusions, the piece draws heavily on his love for strings, brought to life with the help of an Italian violinist who delivers some truly gorgeous performances.

The recording happened fast, less than two days, yet the track feels insanely intentional. You can hear the emotional imprint of the moment: the sense of slipping happiness, the tension between beauty and fragility, the way memories feel real and false at the same time. It’s this rawness that makes the song stand out.
