Rev. Lawrence Kumi, the National General Secretary of the Revival Outreach Church International, has urged Ghanaians to separate plastic waste from other types of waste to help protect the environment.
During the Ghana Day celebration, themed “Clothe a Ghanaian, Feed a Ghanaian,” Rev. Kumi emphasized the importance of this practice in preventing the destruction of land and water bodies. He announced the launch of the Creation Care Club, which aims to promote recycling and keep gutters, beaches, and water bodies free of waste.

The Revival Outreach Church International initiated the Ghana Day celebration two years ago as a community service effort. This year’s event took place at the church’s Odorkor branch in the Greater Accra Region.
Rev. Kumi highlighted the need for proper waste management, encouraging people to separate plastic waste from biodegradable materials to avoid environmental harm.

Celebration attendees, including church members, expressed their gratitude for the event and called for more initiatives to strengthen the bond between the church and the community.
“We truly appreciate our church leaders for organizing such an event,” they added.
