The title track, “Some Dreams,” sets the tone for the album with its signature synth sounds, driving guitars, and high-energy rhythms. The song is a masterclass in well-crafted, hooky pop music that’s both nostalgic and modern.
However, it’s the second single, “Him,” that truly shows Mike Score’s songwriting skills. This love-forlorn track is arguably one of Score’s finest pieces of writing, with a soaring chorus and heartfelt lyrics.

Throughout the album, A Flock of Seagulls seamlessly blends their classic synth-pop sound with more experimental and moody tracks, such as “Fool” and “Time.” The album also features a Beatles-inspired track, “Castles In The Sky,” which displays the band’s versatility and willingness to push boundaries.
“Some Dreams” is a triumphant return for A Flock of Seagulls, proving that they remain one of the most innovative and inspiring bands in the industry.
