S. Coop strips it all the way back in “UNDER DI GUN – Acoustic Version,” and somehow the rawness hits even harder. Trading heavy riddims for stripped strings, this acoustic rework lays the spotlight squarely on lyrical grit and emotional tension, and the result is a smooth, deceptively laid-back callout to manipulative lovers who play dirty and get caught in their own game.

From the jump, Coop’s delivery is calculated and cool, flipping between sharp metaphors (“You did like it do / You never fight it do”) and biting truth bombs (“You used to come fi me / Now you dumb to me”). The hook “Hold seh me up inna your feelings / Or you fi calm and dumb” feels both like a warning and a shrug. You can catch feelings if you want, but don’t act surprised when they bounce.

Vocally, S. Coop glides over the acoustic backdrop like someone who’s said this before and means every word. There’s no overproduction, no gimmicks, just rhythm, realness, and a melody that gets under your skin.

This version is a perfect example of how acoustic doesn’t mean soft, it just means closer to the bone. A necessary addition to the album and a vibe all its own.
