WhatsApphas introduced a new feature that will change the way disappearing messages work on the messaging service. Users can now “keep” disappearing messages in conversations, but senders can choose which messages to keep. The messaging platform has introduced a new ‘Keep in message’ function that allows users to save a message for later access. However, it is up to the sender to decide whether or not they want other people to save their communications.
Furthermore, the messaging platform has released a new stable update for iOS, which includes a new sticker creation tool for customers running the most recent version of Apple’s operating system.
The messaging service says in its recent blog post that chats with disappearing messages do not last forever, but users may now store relevant messages for later with the ‘Keep in Chat’ function. However, it is up to the sender to decide whether or not others in the chat can save it for later. According to WhatsApp, if someone saves a chat, the sender will be notified.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is releasing WhatsApp for iOS 23.7.82 via the App Store. According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, the latest update includes a sticker creation tool that allows users to create stickers from within the app rather than through third-party apps. On iOS 16, users can design their own personalized stickers by extracting a subject from an image and pasting it into a message.
The sticker creator tool, according to WABetaInfo, is designed to work on iOS 16 and there are “no plans” to transfer the capability to devices running older versions of iOS. According to the messaging service, once completed, it will be transformed to a sticker and added to the user’s sticker collection.
