A prominent figure in the Ghanaian music industry, Black Sherif took home the Best International Flow award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards are scheduled to be broadcast on October 10, following a recorded event at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, October 3.
Among the nominees, Black Sherif, alongside other renowned artists from various regions of the world such as AKA from South Africa, Central Cee from the UK, Gazo from France, J Hus from the UK, K.O from South Africa, Major RD from Brazil, Ninho from France, Sampa the Great from Zambia, and Tasha & Tracie from Brazil, emerged as the winner.

Black Sherif’s career has seen a meteoric rise over the past two years, making him the second Ghanaian artist to attain success in this specific category. This year’s nomination marks his second in the same category, following his previous loss to Benjamin EPPS in the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards’ Best International Flow Category.
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie also made headlines in 2019 when he took home the trophy for the inaugural Best International Flow award. In addition to performances by various other prominent artists, the BET Hip Hop Awards will feature Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Bow Wow, and Ludacris.
