The Ghana Police Service has officially confirmed the apprehension of four individuals linked to the Ablekuma FanMilk bullion van robbery.
One of the suspects was arrested recently, while the others were taken into custody earlier. These individuals are currently detained and cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. The police administration has assured the public that additional updates will be provided in due course.

The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, triggered an intensive manhunt by the police for the suspected robbers who were responsible for the tragic killing of Lance Corporal Calystus Amoah in Ablekuma, situated in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. The incident took place during an apparent robbery attempt targeting the occupants of a vehicle at a fuel service station. Reports indicate that the alleged robbers followed the bullion van to the fuel station, where the ensuing shootout transpired. Lance Corporal Amoah, who was positioned in the front passenger seat of the vehicle as part of his security duties, sustained multiple close-range gunshot wounds and tragically lost his life. The incident garnered significant attention from residents, as well as private and commercial drivers, and local traders, following the escape of the four robbers.

The arrest of these four individuals represents a substantial breakthrough in the investigation into the Ablekuma bullion van robbery.
“Four people of interest have so far been arrested in connection with the Ablekuma bullion van robbery, including one of the suspects who was arrested yesterday,” the statement said.
