
Joe Kad, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti Region, has passed away. Reports indicate that he died at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Joe Kad, who was known as the longest-serving constituency chairman in the NPP, had been ill and was hospitalized at UGMC for about a week before his death.

Following the news of his passing, many NPP members have taken to social media to express their grief.
Ernest Owusu Bempah, a Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, shared on his WhatsApp status, “Wofa Joe damirifa Due my good friend.”
Krobea, another Deputy Director of Communications for the NPP, also posted, “Awww Chairman Joe Kad. Strongman da yie,” on his WhatsApp status.
Stephen Amoah, the Nhyiaeso Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Finance, popularly known as Sticker, extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
