Gospel musician Queenlet has garnered attention for her significant investment in a recent sing-a-thon event held in Germany.

She revealed that the event, which she organized to inspire and uplift faith through gospel music, cost her over GH¢800,000.

Queenlet mentioned that she encountered financial difficulties while organizing the event.

Initially, she planned for the sing-a-thon to be held outdoors, but the costs became too prohibitive.

“My rough estimation was about €200,000. Only four security personnel were charging me €50,000 for a seven-day event,” she explained.

Due to these high expenses, Queenlet decided to move the event indoors, which was more financially manageable and totaled over €50,000, equating to more than GH¢800,000.

This amount covered expenses such as sound technicians and streamers working in shifts, sanitary provisions, electricity, a glass cage, promoters, and arrangements for supporters and witnesses over the seven-day event.

She expressed her gratitude to the venue owner, a pastor, who kindly charged only a nominal fee for the space.

The sing-a-thon, originally planned for six days, extended into a seventh day, resulting in a total of 124 hours and a few seconds of continuous singing.

Despite the high costs, Queenlet remains optimistic about her accomplishment and is awaiting official confirmation from the Guinness World Records (GWR).

“The sing-a-thon was very expensive, but it is worth it. I am confident in my victory. I will travel back to Ghana for a celebration if I win. Even if I don’t, I still have a reference in the books of GWR,” she said.
