The incident has sparked outrage among residents of the area, who have called on the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice. Witchcraft-related killings have been a long-standing problem in some parts of the country, particularly in the Northern region, despite efforts by the government and civil society organizations to curb the practice. It is a sad reminder of the need for greater education and awareness to eliminate harmful cultural practices that have no place in modern society. The incident also highlights the importance of protecting the rights of vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and women, who are often the targets of such accusations.
