In the early hours of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Thomas Partey, the vice-captain of the men’s senior national team, arrived at the training camp. The camp, which was set up at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, was opened on Monday, June 12, 2023.
On the first day, 24 out of the 25 players, including the team captain Andre Ayew and the sole locally-based player Hafiz Konkoni, reported to camp. After their arrival, the team had a break and then assembled for their inaugural training session at 4pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Due to his commitments with Arsenal, it is likely that Thomas Partey will miss the team’s morning training session, but he is expected to join the evening session and team bonding activities.
