Black Sherif, a performing artist from Ghana and the “it” kid, is the country’s youngest and only singer to exceed 1 billion views across all music platforms by April 2023. Three of his critically acclaimed albums, The Villain I Never Was, Second Sermon, and First Sermon, were released, and the 21-year old succeeded in getting music lovers to stream his song on a number of music streaming sites, including iTunes, AudioMack, Boomplay, Spotify, Deezer, and Youtube.Industry insiders claim that his distinctive storytelling style and sound set him apart from other musicians in Ghana, while his music has resonated with people all around the world, explaining how he was able to achieve this milestone in such a short period of time.

his is not the first time the young singer has garnered recognition for his music streaming; in less than 24 hours, his debut album, ‘Villian I Never Was,’ topped 70 million streams on Audiomack.
Boomplay recognized him as he reached the 100 million Golden mark on the platform in 2022.
