Daniel Osei Kuffour, the spouse of former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah, has been apprehended as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption and associated offenses.
This development follows a comprehensive inquiry initiated by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) after funds reportedly stolen from her residence by two domestic aides came to light.

This recent update emerged during a court session where the OSP presented a request to validate an order to freeze Cecilia Dapaah’s bank accounts and confiscate $590,000 along with GHs2,730,000 discovered at her Abelemkpe residence.
However, the presiding judge raised a concern about the exclusive focus on Cecilia Dapaah, considering that the disputed funds were located in her home.
In response to this inquiry, Dr. Isidore Tufour, the OSP’s Director of Prosecutions, confirmed the arrest of Cecilia Dapaah’s husband as well.
Nonetheless, Cecilia Dapaah’s attorney emphasized that this new revelation was unexpected, as his client had no knowledge of her husband’s alleged detainment.
Meanwhile, the former Minister is contesting allegations that the assets discovered in her residence and bank accounts are of illicit origin.
She argues that the OSP is blatantly disregarding its own legal framework and is merely attempting an arbitrary action based on mere suspicion fueled by misinformation and sensationalist media coverage.
