
Released on August 30, 2024, Carl Liungman’s album “Change” is a captivating solo piano masterpiece that explores themes of loss, new beginnings, and hope. This Swedish composer’s ninth album is a deeply personal and emotional journey, reflected in nine original pieces performed on a Steinway grand piano.

“Change” is a sonic tapestry woven from Liungman’s experiences with personal loss and the world’s turmoil, yet infused with love and optimism. The classical brightness of the Steinway grand piano resonates beautifully in the live concert hall recording at Malmo Art Museum.
Liungman’s piano virtuosity shines through intricate melodies and dynamic contrasts, displaying his mastery of classical and New Age styles. From the contemplative “Elegy” to the uplifting “New Dawn,” each piece tells a story of transformation.
