
Fury of a Dying Planet’s self-titled debut album, released on August 30, 2024, is a blend of melodic metal riffs, powerful vocals, and eco-themed lyrics that culminates in a cry for environmental protection. Born out of Covid lockdown demos, the project blossomed with the collaboration of Bec from Bullet on a String (art and logo design) and Chris Allan (session drummer, engineer, and mixer).

The album’s 8 tracks, including the previously released singles “Bloodied Fjords”, “Repetition to Extinction”, and “Captive”, displays display the band’s ability to put together beautiful, aggressive, and meaningful songs that sink deeply. With a runtime of just under 40 minutes, the album is a concise and impactful statement.

Lyrically, the album tackles the urgent theme of environmental destruction, with tracks like “Repetition to Extinction” and “Captive” highlighting the devastating consequences of human actions. Yet, the album concludes on a hopeful note with “Heroes of the Earth”, a tribute to those fighting to protect the planet.
