Dr. Rahmon Adedoyin, the proprietor of Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, has been found guilty of the murder of a student named Timothy Adegoke. He, along with two other hotel employees, has been sentenced to death by hanging.
Justice Oyebola Ojo, the Chief Judge of Osun State presiding over the High Court in Osogbo, ruled that the three defendants were guilty of conspiring to commit murder and unlawfully causing the death of the postgraduate student from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

The two hotel employees, Adeniyi Aderogba (37 years old) and Kazeem Oyetunde (38 years old), were also found guilty and received the death penalty.
Magdalene Chiefuna, Lawrence Oluwole, and Adedeji Adesola, three other Hilton Hotels employees, were acquitted of all charges and released. The seventh defendant’s sentence will be announced on Wednesday.
The Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo, handed down the death sentence to Adeniyi Aderogba and Kazeem Oyetunde on Tuesday. According to reports from the Daily Post, Timothy Adegoke, who was 37 years old, died at Hilton Hotels in Ile-Ife in November 2021. He had checked into the hotel after traveling from Abuja and was last seen on November 5, 2021.

The following day, when Adegoke had a scheduled test at the OAU Distance Learning Centre in Moro, Osun State, he went missing. After a police investigation into Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, the hotel owner, and his staff, Adegoke’s body was discovered buried in a cemetery.
