Instagram has been upgraded to include a new feature that some users on the popular video and image sharing app have requested. Previously, users could publish a link in their profile bio. The company is now allowing users and artists to add up to five links, which will allow them to promote more of their work. Users of the Meta-owned service can now post links to their online companies, content, and social networking profiles with their Instagram followers. The functionality is presently being rolled out globally and is expected to reach over a billion Instagram users within the next few days.
Until now, Instagram users could only add one link to their profile bio. To maintain interest, the photo-video-messaging app preferred to keep its users locked to the Meta ecosystem, pushing users to resort to “link in bio” websites that allowed them to add a link to a webpage that held several links. Instagram will soon allow users to add other connections, such as Linktree, Beacons, and Discord profiles.

On his Broadcast Channel, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed the availability of this feature. He noted that one of the most frequently requested improvements on the site was the option to add more than one link to a profile bio.
Users who want to add extra links to their bio can do so by selecting the Add External Link option from the Edit Profile menu’s Links section. The function is scheduled to be available to all Instagram users by the end of this month. Gadgets 360 employees confirmed that the feature has already been rolled out to their accounts on iOS and Android.
