In a viral video, John Dumelo can be seen dancing with Lydia Alhassan, his political opponent who defeated him in the 2020 parliamentary elections for the John Dumelo melts our heart by dancing with his political rival, Lydia Alhassan seat. Remember that Lydia Alhassan of the NPP defeated the actor and politician in the 2020 elections by 37,778 votes to 39,851 votes. Despite their heated animosity, the two MPs could be seen dancing joyously at an event in a video that was leaked online. In response to the video, internet people complimented the two leaders for embracing peace and togetherness and providing a good example of leadership.
In a similar incident, John Dumelo has lambasted his friend and former political adversary Fred Nuamah for publicly stating that he sought his consent before filing nomination papers for the NDC primaries for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
Fred claimed in a prior sequel to this article given by www.Ghbase.com that he told John Dumelo of his desire to run for the Ayawaso West Wuogon post. He went on to declare that he had given him the green light and blessing to run for the constituency on the NDC ticket. He went on to say that the famous actor had explained to him why he chose to compete for the vacant SALL seat in the Oti Region rather than Ayawaso West Wuogon, which influenced his decision.

“Truthfully, I am surprised about his U-turn because it was evident and crystal clear that he was not going for the Ayawaso seat anymore and rather invested in Guan/SALL. Frankly, it’s late to step down…He gave me his blessings when I made up my mind to contest. I would have rather expected him to honour his word when he said he won’t contest the seat and, therefore, throw his support behind me,” Nuamah stated.
However, in response to what Fred Nuamah mentioned in the most recent issue of United Shobiz, John Dumelo stated that he lied about everything. Dumelo believes that Fred is no longer his friend because their 20-year friendship has ended after his proclamations and the turn of events stabbed him in the back. He also hinted that he (Fred) has little chance of winning the NDC primaries, let alone defeating the NPP’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
