Madonna University, a Nigerian higher education institution, has awarded a scholarship at the PhD level to Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, an alumna of the university. The announcement was made in a statement titled “Celebrating excellence and congratulating our proud Alumna, Hilda Bassey Effiong,” by Associate Professor Martin Anagboso, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration. Hilda Baci, a 27-year-old chef, made an ambitious attempt to break and establish a new Guinness World Record by cooking for 100 hours.
Regarding the scholarship, Anagboso stated that it was offered to Hilda by the university’s founder and chancellor.

“The management, staff and students of Madonna University, Nigeria congratulate Hilda Bassey Effiong on the award of scholarship to PhD level and Madonna University, Nigeria highest merit award by the Founder and Chancellor.
